HELLO!  I am Mrs. Evelyn (LYN) Andrews.  I am excited about beginning another school year with former students and new students.

A BIT ABOUT ME AS A TEACHER:
I attended Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, graduating in 1996 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Piano Pedagogy.  In 1997,  I was able to obtain my Iowa teaching license through Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny. In 2021, I graduated from Concordia - St. Paul with my Master's degree in Special Education: Learning Disabilities.

I am entering my 28th year of teaching. I taught elementary grades (4th, 5th, and 6th) at Owatonna Christian School for 14 years; then I taught preschool in my home while operating a home daycare for five years. In the fall of 2015, my time at Medford began where I completed several long term assignments over the course of four years.  In the fall of 2019, my career as an high school Special Education teacher began and I absolutely love it!

In addition to teaching at school, I am the accompanist for many of the schools' concerts and contests. I also provide private piano lessons in my home, teaching every school night from 3:45 to 6:30/7:00, Monday - Friday.

A BIT ABOUT MY FAMILY:
Mark and I met during our first weekend in college and have now been together for almost 31 years! The day after I graduated from college, we got hitched!  :)  Our son Zackariah Mark joined us in November 2000. He is now a senior at North Central University, majoring in Music Studio Production.  Our second son, Jacob William, was born in August 2004. He is currently a sophomore at The College of St. Scholastica majoring in Business Management and Organizational Leadership. He is also THE kicker for the Saints' football team.  Our family also includes two fur-babies: Buddy and Spot, our "baby girl" cats.
