Hello! My name is Jack VanDusseldorp and I am thrilled to be a member of the Medford Public Schools community! I am originally from Garner, IA which is about an hour and a half from here. I went to Iowa Western Community College and then transferred to Waldorf University (Forest City, IA) where I got my degree in Elementary Education with a K-8 Reading endorsement. I also played football at both institutions, and was voted a captain my senior year at Waldorf. I previously taught at Newman Catholic in Mason City, IA for three years, where I taught Reading to 6th and 7th graders. My wife and I got married in June of 2021, and then we welcomed our daughter, Eleanor, in July of 2022. We also have two Saint Bernards, Bear and Winnie. In my free time I enjoy weight lifting, golfing, playing video games (mostly sports games), and spending time with friends and family. I love talking sports, specifically football and basketball, and will with anybody that would like to! I am a very passionate fan of the Baltimore Ravens, Ohio State Buckeyes (no I'm not a band wagoner), and the Los Angeles Lakers. I am also love Christmas, and have been known to start celebrating slightly early. Again, I am very excited to start the school year and to meet all of you! |
